Adobe Launches Flash Lite 3
Read the press release here, then take a look at the all new version comparison chart.
Here’s just a coupe of new features:
- External API for browser scripting
- Forward lock
- Enhanced local file security
- Metadata support
- Flash Media Server connectivity (RTMP streaming)
Here’s a quick list of what’s not in version 3.0, to give you an idea:
- 8-bit alpha channel video
- Flash Media Server connectivity (Remote Shared Object)
- SVG-T 1.1
So on the face of it, it’s looking good for Adobe and there lovable Flash Lite Player. Shame about the lack of remote shared object, I had some good ideas about that one.
